They're a good burner. Make sure you get the MSR repair kit and jet kit too.....it's all compact and light anyway. I tend to only use my stove when it's not appropriate or too difficult to have an open fire (i always carry a small grill too). From what i hear, it's easier to have an open fire the further east you go.
